Proud Parner of
Help A Child Smile
Sibling Society is honored to partner with Help A Child Smile (HACS) in their incredible mission to bring joy to children with cancer and their families since 1987. For over three decades, HACS has been a source of light during the darkest times, remaining dedicated to serving over 1500 families whose child is being or has been treated for cancer at McMaster Children’s Hospital. Sibling Society is deeply committed to supporting HACS’ dedication to reducing the burden on families—whether through paid hospital parking, gas cards, or welcome bags—and expanding opportunities for siblings to feel heard and supported as they journey through this challenging time.
All donations raised through Sibling Society will be used exclusively to HACS for directly supporting their programs and services that benefit families of children with cancer. Transparency is at the heart of our commitment—none of the donations will be used for administrative costs or unrelated activities. Every dollar will contribute to meaningful impact, and we pledge to honor the trust of our donors by ensuring all funds are used solely to benefit these families.
BinBin's Art Studio
We are profoundly grateful to receive the wonderful drawings from the creative young minds at BinBin’s Art Studio here in Oakville. These pieces of art hold a special place in our hearts at Sibling Society, where we proudly display them as a testament to the boundless creativity of children and youth. By showcasing their work, we aim to celebrate the artistic expressions of young siblings, reflecting the core values of our organization—support, creativity, and connection.
Why Sibling Society?
As a saying goes, “siblings are the friends we never outgrow”. Siblings are the companions who have been by our side since childhood, sharing countless experiences and understanding us in waysthat few others can, not even our parents.
But what makes this bond truly remarkable? It’s the recognition that siblings hold a unique place inour hearts—a place where no one else can quite reach. Unlike many friendships that may come andgo as we move through different phases of life, the connection with siblings remains constant. Thisis the strongest bond, withstanding the test of time, and also the most enduring bond, witnessing every triumph, setback, twist, and turn that siblings go through together.
At Sibling Society, we envision a world where sibling bonds serve as the cornerstone of support forpediatric patients in need. By nurturing these relationships, we wish to not only provide solace andcomfort, but also create a community where love knows no bounds and empathy knows no limits.

What is Sibling Society?
Sibling Society is an organization led by high school students that focuses on building up a community and encouraging sibling involvement in order to enhance the overall well-being of pediatric patients and their families. Driven by our motto, “Linked by Love, Joined by Stories”, webelieve that sibling bond is a key component in helping families get through the treatment in everyaspect.
Where does Sibling Society come from?
Sibling Society originates from the real-life experience of the founder, whose younger sister was diagnosed with Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Throughout the treatment process, the founder meticulously cared for and fully supported her sister, and also found out the mutual encouragement and care between the sick children and their siblings. She realized the invisible power of sibling bond: it provides emotional strength, fosters resilience, and creates a supportiveenvironment crucial for the well-being of sick children. She hopes that these emotional bonds andmutual support can be established among a larger group of people and a broader social network, thereby promoting more attention to the pediatric community.
